National Advisory Committee on Maternal Mortality

The National Advisory Committee on Maternal Mortality (NACMM) comprises representatives from the State and Territory Maternal Mortality Committees, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, Australian Commission for Safety and Quality in Health Care, the Maternity Alliance, School of Public Health and Community Medicine (UNSW), Australian College of Midwives, and expert clinicians.

The role of NACMM is to oversee the compilation of all reported deaths into the Maternal Deaths Data Collection and the preparation of a report on maternal deaths.
